Better

Thanks everyone. James is better. At least, the swelling on his arm is better. He's one of those kids who gets knocked down by antibiotics so he's been a bit sleepy and clammy, not to mention a teaspoon or two of cranky mixed in. We had a birthday party to go to (for my nephew) and he stuck by my side the whole night, which is decidedly not James. It was a pool party (swimming in April!) and he is usually a fish, but not tonight.

Things are...okay... I am finding myself wishing a lot lately. Wishing the house up in MI would sell (hey you know anyone who's looking...blah, blah, blah....). I thought we had a hook last week when someone asked for the seller's disclosure, but they offered on another. So I dropped it $10K. It is now ten thousand less than what we paid for it (ouch) 10 years (ouch) ago. But, to sell it would be excellent. I wish the pool that I'm buying was already done. Yes, I decided to put a pool in. Since this is where we will be for now until forever I decided to go for it. Prices are lower than what they were so now is a good time I guess.

Thanks again...

I'm glad James is feeling better. Sounds like you are settling in slowly but surely. I know the real estate marked in Michigan sucks big time right now. When we refinanced our house last year it was worth a thousand dollars less than we paid for it in 1999! Oh well, we no longer look at our house as an investment, more like just a place to live and call home! Take care.

Sounds like James is getting over the hump. Good news. And a pool of your very own! Wonderful!

OH Laura! What a scare. I'm glad he was able to come home and heal there. So much better than in the hospital. How's he feeling today? I'm sure each day a little more of his smiling energy will return.

I am so glad to read that James is doing better. "Okay" is good Laura, and I think you are doing so good with your move. A pool, wow, that will be a godsend where you live and a second bedroom for James:) I hope your MI house sells soon for you. That would be a huge load off your shoulders. Take care Laura and know that you are loved and prayed for.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Cellulitis? Scarey! I'm glad he's feeling better. My husband had that two years ago, and after the first round of antibiotics, the pain came back, so they put him on a second round to kill it. Just an FYI, so he can pay attention to how it feels after the first 10 days are past.

This is a crummy time to sell, but a good time to buy, so I guess it all evens out, right? We tried to sell almost 2 years ago, right when the bubble burst, and couldn't make the numbers work. Our neighbor just sold her place for $180K less than the last unit in our condo complex sold for, which was a few months before we tried to sell ours. Crazy, huh? But we're in CA, which was really overheated anyway.

It has been a while since your last post. I am sorry to hear James had such a bad reaction. Sounds like my John. I wish you luck but with all the hoopla going on in the automotive sector it may be a bit longer. I am hoping for your sake and mine,(our home has been up over a year now) that things get better.

Perhaps you could rent it out?

Seems like we're never allowed to have one Trouble at a time, are we? Here's hoping the James one is at its end, and you can get that house moved soon.
