I always wanted to use that title (from one of my favorite ever books as a kid: "What Katy Did" and What Katy Did Next"). This is what I've been didding...er...doing... Well, I did it once and I kind of like it.

Haha! Great story and well written. I have a white elephant gift exchange coming up and I'm currently purging "stuff" from my house.... bet I could find a gifted something I never touched. Oh I know just the thing!
Sadly, I am often stuck with gifts from my mom I am never going to use (really, do I need this rabbit shaped sugar bowl and creamer set?)

Funny re-gift story - especially since the woman was so excited to give it to her.
I have a doozy and my friends and I kept it going for years. My best friend got a platter on her wedding in a dented dusty box that was inscribed "Happy Anniversary". We kept that gift going for years re-gifting it at Christmas in the SAME box. Eventually someone kept it though. We keep waiting for it to pop back up again.
