Back to "normal"

A picture of us that was left in my mom's camera. Memorial Day 2006. These are the things that seem so gone... so lost.
Shopping with "the aunts" in Old Town Spring. To the left is Aunt Rosalie, Leonard's aunt, and behind me is Aunt Sharon, another of Leonard's aunts. It means the world to me that family ties remain tied.
Mr. Blue Crab. The day we don't bring a trap to the Gulf, there's an abundance of crabs.

My mom and grandma were down for 2 weeks after a 1 week visit up to Michigan for James' Spring Break. Spring Break comes so early down here. It was a disjointed 21 days and now I find I have to string myself back together again. It was a whirlwind of visiting up there, the rodeo down here, San Antonio and the Gulf Coast. Now...peace and quiet and trying to get my head back together.

That top photo is a treasure find.

I'm glad you've been keeping busy with family and that they've been inspired to visit you as well.

Mmmm, crab legs. ;o)

Sounds like you've been incredibly busy which is rarely a bad thing for anyone! I'm happy you found a new picture of you and Leonard together, and not only can look at it - but post it! It's lovely. :)

That picture of you and Leonard is precious Laura and such a treasure to find! I am so glad you made it through the visits and are still in one piece. Were you able to see Nik too? Dumb question probably, but you didn't mention it:) Now you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that you seem to be growing into in your new home. You sound good Laura and I am so proud of you. I love you too!

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Thanks for the electronic postcard.

The second picture is almost Abbey Road.

Glad you are OK. The pictures are truly treasures.

I took my grandson to Galveston for the last weekend of his Spring Break. He's nearly 11 and had never been to the beach.

Those little blue crabs hardly seem worth the work. Come to the west coast and get some dungeness crab sometime. They're awesome. Prime season is winter, though, so not this year.

I hope your mom's visit means that things are better there, in your relationship with her.
