I'm back.

Thanks you Chloe, for the kick in the pants I needed to get going here again. It is so hard, in these crazy days of closing dates, inspections, home improvements and what not to keep my thoughts together.

I am, for the most part, in a better place for now. I look forward to leaving these haunting memories behind, and yet I will miss Nik in our twisted little "I love you-I hate you-come here-go away" relationship. She doesn't want to talk about me moving even as it looms in the very near tomorrow. She has a choice to come with and has opted not to. I do think it will be good for her to be on her own.

James has made a very good friend just recently and that will make it a bit harder for him to leave... but he wants to. Plus, they have email and trips up here or down there.

I have made the decision to have the movers just pack up everything because it broke me down for a good week when I started to pack things. So, for now, I'll just leave it.

You sound great! I am so happy for you and James. Nik made her decision and I'm sure she'll grow because of it.

Sounds like a good decision. It will be a difficult move, but it sounds like the right thing to do.

Ohh! Have you found a buyer for your place? Oh I do hope so.

And the new place? That's all coming together?

It all sounds very positive - tinged with sadness of course, but still wonderful.

sometimes being away from your family, makes you take a long look in the mirror and grow up. hopefully that will be true for her. and good call on having the movers do it. that way you can focus on the bright future! =) so glad you are back at blogging!

As you probably have already thought, Nik's decision may not be a permanent one as much as it is a reactionary one. Either way, you are doing what you need to do and it shows a great deal of strength.

I think of you often in so many ways and times.

I'm sorry I haven't been around too much lately. I have had a lot of things on my mind and I kind of slacked off.

I do think about you goys and hope everything is going okay. I'm sure Nik will be just fine on her own. We as parents worry too much about letting them grow emotionally and responsibly.

God Bless.

Laura -

I have visited here often, hoping and praying that you are given strength daily. I think this move is good for you and I agree the movers should do that bulk of the work. You are a remarkable lady! You are strong and getting stronger. I'm not so sure I would be ok leaving one of my kids, but I am a big baby....

Big Hugs!!
